In the
student wide direct elections in December 2006, Péter
Barta was
elected as Student Council President of the Andrássy
University Budapest.
He studies
international relations, with a focus on diplomacy and international
cultural relations.
Throughout
the coming year his job as student council president is to
lead
the Student Council meetings and to represent students in
all aspects of
university life.
He attends
meetings with the university management to ensure that students
have the opportunity to improve the environment in which they
work and
socialize.
Student
Council works to create a better university environment with
greater
student involvement.
By providing
the opportunity for students to actively participate in the
process of academic self-government, students shortly develop
a strong identification with the university. We constantly
challenge students to actively participate and find ways in
which they can contribute to the improvement of this University.
Projects currently being planned by the Andrássy University
Student Council
include academic and social events, as well as promoting the
university's image and publicity, in order to attract more
qualified and highly motivated students who are widely interested
in the field of economics, politics, law and history.
The Student
Council Administration is divided between the following
departments: Culture (S1),
Information, Public Relations
and University
policy (S2), Law (S3)
and Finances (S4).
